Member of the Board of Directors, Vice President, and Chief Scientific Officer
 Dr. Jiasheng (Jason) Song was named to the Board of Directors by the incorporator and appointed to the company management positions of Vice President (VP) and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) by the Board of Directors of the AhR Pharmaceuticals, Inc. on January 6th, 2006. He has been responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing research and development activities of the company. Dr. Song has been directing all facets of the ITE developmental program so far, including, but not limited to, efficacy studies, toxicity studies, and chemical synthesis and process research and development for large-scale ITE production etc.
Dr. Song is a major inventor of the ITE technology, the platform technology of the company. Along with his broad scientific background and expertise not only in the Ah receptor field but also in the fields of biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, genetics, chemistry, and molecular biology, Dr. Song brings management experience and skills to the company. During his tenure in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. Song assisted Dr. Hector F. DeLuca in directing and training several Ph.D. students. He also trained and supervised several laboratory technicians (for conducting experiments on the ITE project), senior undergraduate students (for their thesis research), and numerous laboratory assistants in the course of his 10-year efforts of elucidating the natural hormone (ITE) system. Dr. Jiasheng (Jason) Song received his Ph. D. degree in Genetics from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, USA in 1990. He received his B.S. degree in Agronomy from Shanghai College of Agriculture (part of Shanghai Jiaotong University now), Shanghai, China in 1983.
